Together we are the strongest team!

This motto is a big part of our daily lives, and we know that by standing together we can make a difference. It is hard and difficult times and now more than ever, there is a need for all of us to be standing side by side. We want to make a difference, to have an impact and ensure safety for everybody, everywhere. We alone, cannot take full responsibility, but we surely wish to take part by viewing “safety” in a broader perspective than usual.

Global Functional Safety – An active choice

Global functional Safety has taken an active part in the development of the Functional Safety standards. To improve, we also participate in S-531 “Explosive atmospheres in relation to the ATEX directives”. We gain knowledge of the new requirements and it enable us to influence the preparation and perception of the upcoming requirements. All this improve our knowledge and we believe this benefits our customers with a higher level of service.

FS FORUM 2021

Mikael Lund from Global Functional Safety (GFS) participated as speaker at FS Forum 2021, with focus on the practical approach to Functional Safety for End-users in the process industry including network sessions. Mikael Lund held a presentation on why ISO 13849 is not applicable with process safety, and a review of benefits when using the correct standard, IEC 61511. Another successful GFS course completed

At GFS we had the pleasure to conduct the Functional Safety Introduction course on 10. November at Roskilde Congress Center. 12 participants were ready for breakfast and coffee before Mikael Lund would welcome to an exiting but also hard day with lots of information. At the course the participants were introduced to Functional Safety made more tangible. There were participants from both consulting and construction industry as well as pharma and Oil/Gas industry. We even had participants, who had taken the long way from Norway,

GFS Course

Most recently, GFS held a COVID-19 safe and company customized ATEX-course at one of our customers within the process industry. The course was about – Practical approach to ATEX and gas detection. All materials were made according to customer requirements and their facilities with focus on gas detection. All companies are different. The advantage of a customized course is, that the participants work with an already known material / facility / process and there is opportunity for further discussions based on own experiences with colleagues.
