SIL determination of ‘Safety Instrumented Functions’
Course objective
The objective of the course is to provide the participants with a knowledge of the different methods used to determine the SIL levels as defined in IEC 61511 and IEC 62061.
Course description
At this course, the participants will gain knowledge of Process Safety, Risk Assessment and different methods to determine the SIL levels including the associated SIF’s.
The course will provide knowledge of the basic principles of the Risk Graph and the Layer of Protection Analyzing (LOPA) method and the use hereof.
Who should attend?
Electro Engineers, Instrument Engineers, Process Engineers, Safety Engineers and Operation and/or Maintenance personnel, who are involved with different phases of the Functional Safety Lifecycle, from Hazard and Risk Assessment to the Operation and Maintenance phase.
